i go by @fragmentsofsara on social media. which sometimes invites questions like "why fragments? of sara?" "what happened to you?" "what can we do to piece you back together??" umm.. that's not... what i meant 😭

the name technically came from a difficult time in 2021/2022. what i took from that time is, i realised how many layers i had (along with other life lessons).

i dance. i paint. i sculpt. i crochet. i sew etc.. all those, i want to embrace them all. and the social media space is where i wanted to show people the different pieces of me. hence, fragments of sara. and it stuck wimme till now :>

somewhere along the line (before the username change), i found butterxiety, during the pandemic. for most people, it was a lonely period. and it was for me too.

so i spent my time painting & developing butterxiety characters as a way to cope & to get by.

here's my first ever big painting of butterxiety characters:

they look a lot different last time compared to now as my style develops, but you can see the resemblance i guess hehe :D

the project went quiet for a bit when i returned to architecture school, which, i later dropped out of. then once i got a corporate job in marketing, i worked on butterxiety in the in-between times. in between commutes on the train, in the bus, during lunch time, or before i went to bed. until recently i quit the job and decided to take this full-time.

anyway. the point is, butterxiety has been with me through a lot. and now she's here, properly, with a website and everything. somewhere between the train rides and the lunch breaks, the characters grew into a whole universe. and now that universe has a door. so hi, welcome in :>> 🌸

here's everything you need to know before, during, and after shopping at butterxiety 🌸

ORDERS & SHIPPING 

1) how long does it take to receive my order?

ready stock orders: once payment is confirmed, i'll pack your order within 1–3 working days. after that it's with the courier, typically another 3–5 working days for west malaysia, slightly longer for east malaysia. you'll get a tracking number once it ships!

pre-order/made-to-order items: some items are made to order or released in limited pre-order batches. for these, allow 2–3 weeks from order confirmation for production, plus courier time (3–5 working days). the individual product listing will always state if an item is pre-order, so you'll know before you add to cart!

mixed orders: if your order includes both ready stock and pre-order items, everything ships together once the pre-order items are ready. the whole order follows the longer timeline. if you'd like your ready stock items sooner, place them as a separate order!

2) how much is shipping?

standard local shipping is RM15. spend RM67 and above and get free shipping. 

 

3) do you ship internationally?

not yet! malaysia only for now. follow @butterxiety on instagram for updates when that changes.

4) can i pick up my order instead?

pickup is available at butterxiety market booths only, there's no fixed studio address for pickup. follow @butterxiety on instagram to find out where i'll be next!

5) do you have a physical store?

no fixed store! you can find butterxiety at market booths. everything else is online at butterxiety.com 🌸 ** pssst, we're working on gettin' in for consignment :p

 

BLOOM & CUSTOM ORDERS

1) how does ordering a custom bloom art toy work?

on the bloom product page, you'll find a built-in colour picker, designed specifically for butterxiety's bloom! you can design her feature by feature: the petals, the skin, the hair, the eyes, the lashes, the beads, all of it. you'll see a live preview update as you go, so you can play around until she's exactly right.  don't forget to name her!

• i make her based on your submitted design — allow 2–3 weeks
• she ships to you once she's ready! 🌸

2) can my bloom look like me?

can, if you design her to look like you! then she'll look like the butterxiety version of you. she'll have your hair, your skin, your colours. so she's you, just butterxiety-fied!  <3

3) can i make changes after submitting my colour choices?

if you'd like to tweak something, dm me @butterxiety on instagram/email me at fragmentsofsara@gmail.com within 24 hours of ordering, and we'll sort it out! after that, once i've started making her, changes can't be made. the colour picker is designed so you can take your time getting her right before committing. 

4) can i cancel my bloom order after placing the order?

once production has started, cancellations and refunds aren't possible — she's already being made for you specifically. if you have second thoughts before that point, dm me @butterxiety within 24 hours of ordering.

 

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

1) do you accept returns or exchanges?

all sales are final. no returns, no exchanges, no cancellations once an order is placed.

if you'd like to tweak anything for bloom, reach out to me within 24 hours of order placement.

if something arrives damaged or there's an error on my end, dm me @butterxiety within 3 days of receiving it with a photo and i'll sort it out.

WORKSHOPS & SERVICES

1) where are the workshops held?

workshops are only available at selected butterxiety market booths — not every booth will have them. follow @butterxiety on instagram to find out what's available at the next event before you come <3

2) can i add the photobooth to my website order?

yes! on the butterxiety photobooth product page, there's a built-in tool where you can take pictures or upload your photos, fill in 3 frames, drag to reposition, and see a live preview in the actual butterxiety strip layout. once you're happy with it, download your digital strip to keep — then add to cart to submit your order!

from there, i'll draw you and whoever's in your strip in butterxiety style and ship the physical printed version to you 🌸 a few things to note:

★ flat rate RM15, max 2 people per strip

★ poses matter! since i'm drawing you butterxiety-fied (not a portrait), the clearer the pose, the better she'll turn out :>

★ the physical strip ships together with the rest of your order

3) can i book a private workshop or event?

★ bloom & made-to-order items bloom is made to order — just for you. by placing a bloom order, you agree to:

✿ confirm your colour choices are final before submitting — changes are only possible within 24 hours of ordering

★ intellectual property: all artwork, characters, and designs created by butterxiety studio are my intellectual property. whether you found them on butterxiety.com, on any other platform, or on a product you purchased. please don't reproduce, resell, use them commercially, or pass them off as your own.
